How Greentrac works

Greentrac measures the energy consumption and the expensive idle times for every single PC plus the paper requirement of all network printers in real time. On demand, additional consumption devices such as air conditioning systems can be integrated.
The data is gathered from every PC and aggregated & processed centrally. Greentrac then automatically creates comprehensive company-wide and individual consumption statistics. To visualise the energy usage, carbon footprint and print paper consumption, Greentrac uses visually stunning charts and graphs.
Every employee is able tom understand their individual consumption statistics. The analysis contains costs, carbon emissions, kilowatt hours as well as the accumulated print paper consumption. These values can then be compared with the department or company results.
The capability of the software to measure the energy and print paper consumption in real time is only one aspect of the Greentrac concept. To sustainably increase the resource efficiency, smart incentives and motivational programs are required. Our Green Consultants will assist you with designing and integrating individual reward schemes. Integration of Greentrac in your company’s IT environment

Certified Greentrac Integrators will help you with the smooth integration of Greentrac into your exisiting IT infrastruture. The integration usually takes 3 steps:
The Greentrac Server is being installed. The installation normally takes about less than one hour. The server collects all the data sent by the Desktop Monitoring Agents (DMA),
The Desktop Monitoring Agent (DMA) is being installed on every PC workstation which is executed in the background as an MS Windows®-service. The DMA gatheres current activity data and sends those to the Greentrac Server which determines the energy comsuption.
From now all workstation PCs and network printers report their consumption data to the Greentrac Server. Every employee can now access their individual energy statistics.
